INSTALLATION GUIDE
Engraved motorcycle frame inserts
1. Surface preparation
Proper surface preparation is essential:
-
Clean the area with a 50% water / 50% isopropyl alcohol mixture.
-
Wipe with a slightly damp cloth (not soaked) to remove any residue.
-
Dry immediately with a clean, dry cloth.
👉 The surface must be perfectly clean, dry, and grease-free.
2. Positioning the insert
-
Place the insert in its location to check alignment.
-
Remove the red protective film from the adhesive.
-
Position the plate at an angle of approximately 45° relative to the frame surface.
-
This prevents the entire adhesive surface from sticking instantly.
-
-
Adjust the alignment precisely.
-
Bring the plate into contact without pressing, simply set it in place.
-
Make final alignment adjustments.
3. Final bonding
Once the position is perfectly set:
-
Press firmly on the plate.
-
Apply pressure:
-
around the entire edge,
-
then on the center,
-
repeating several times across different areas.
-
-
Maintain firm pressure for 1 to 2 minutes.
- full cure after 24 hours
👉 This step is essential: it activates the adhesive and ensures optimal bonding.
Optional recommendation
